- Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
- Click on the JIRA Administration cog and select the Add-ons menu item
- Click on the Root Cause Analysis link in the left hand navigation menu.
- Click on the Install Searchers button.
- When the icon appears the basic issue navigator fields have been successfully installed.
- Click on the JIRA Administration cog and select System.
- Click on the Indexing link from the left hand navigation menu.
Click on the Re-Index button to re-index the issues to account for the new basic issue navigator fields.
Note If you do not re-index, the Root Cause Analysis basic Issue Navigator fields will return empty search results.
Click on the top toolbar Issues menu drop-down and select Search for issues.
- Click on the More drop-down and you will now see the Root Cause Analysis fields available for searching.
