For our Root Cause Analysis plugin users who likely the simplicity of using JIRA's Basic Issue Navigator to search for JIRA issues, we have bundled field searchers for all of the fields within the plugin in order to provide you with the most flexible search capabilities.

 

To Start Searching:

  1. Click on the Issues drop-down from the top-menu toolbar and click Search for issues.
  2. You will be presented with the following basic navigator toolbar.

  3. Click on the More drop-down to show the Root Cause Analysis fields.
  4. Type Root Cause in the search field to filter the available fields to just the fields that the Root Cause Analysis plugin provides.

Search within the Root Cause Issue field: 

  1. Check the Root Cause Issue check-box in the More drop-down.

  2. Enter a valid JIRA issue key (e.g RCT-1).
  3. Click the Update button.

 

Search within the Root Cause Attributer field: 

  1. Check the Root Cause Attributer check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Decide which user(s) which you want to filter by, or search for a user via the Find User/Groups field.

  3. Clicking on the check-box will automatically apply the filter.


Search within the Root Cause Resolver field: 

  1. Check the Root Cause Resolver check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Decide which user(s) which you want to filter by, or search for a user via the Find User/Groups field.

Search within the Root Cause Closer field: 

  1. Check the Root Cause Closer check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Decide which user(s) which you want to filter by, or search for a user via the Find User/Groups field.

Search within the Root Cause Attributer Summary field:

  1. Check the Root Cause Attributer Summary check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter the text you want to search for.

Search within the Root Cause Resolver Summary field:

  1. Check the Root Cause Resolver Summary check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter the text you want to search for.

Search within the Root Cause Closer Summary field:

  1. Check the Root Cause Closer Summary check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter the text you want to search for.

Search within the Root Cause Determination field:

  1. Check the Root Cause Determination check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter one of the determinations to search by: unknown, avoidable, or unavoidable

  1. Check the Root Cause Defect Introduction Factor check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter the defect introduction factor you want to search for.

  5. Enter the defect introduction factor you want to search for.

  6. Click the Update button.

Search within the Root Cause Defect Detection Factor field:

  1. Check the Root Cause Defect Detection Factor check-box in the More drop-down.
  2. Enter the defect detection factor you want to search for.
