FAQ

What is the Remaining Estimate?

The Filtered Budget Burnup Chart calculates the remaining estimates of all issues in the selected project or filter and displays them on the chart. As users log time on issues, the remaining estimate decreases. If the remaining estimate on an issue is changed, the line will shift. For example, if the remaining estimate is increased, the entire line will shift upwards. Likewise, when the remaining estimate is decreased, the entire line will shift downwards.

What is the Trend Line?

The trend line is a line drawn on the chart which shows the average of a series of data points over time. It is useful to estimate future progress of logged work based on your current pace.

What is the Goal Line?

A goal line is a clearly visible line drawn across the chart which represents the budget of hours for that particular project or filter.  It allows you to easily detect when logged work approaches your budget goal. The goal line is useful for tracking your team's performance against expectation.
