As a Root Cause Analysis plugin user, you will be the driving force performing Root Cause Analysis investigations and documenting the results of these investigations within each JIRA issue that you work on.
It is important to keep in mind that the Root Cause Analysis plugin was not designed to lay blame or point out an individuals wrong doings but is instead considered both a method of constructive feedback and a way for the organization to learn where the brittle points of a product lie.
In order to use the plugin effectively:
- Read over the Key Terminology page to become familiar with the terms used throughout the different UI screens provided by the plugin.
- Add the Root Cause Analysis Dashboard Gadget on to your dashboard or your teams dashboard.
- Start performing a Root Cause Analysis on every bug or problem report that you work on starting today.
- React to Root Cause Analysis email notifications and keep an eye on your dashboard gadget for items that require your attention.
